Holston Hills Country Club Welcomes Chef Andrew Cagle as Executive Chef

Holston Hills Country Club announces Chef Andrew Cagle has joined their team as the new Executive Chef! A Knoxville native who grew up in Monroe County, Chef Andrew brings more than 25 years of executive culinary experience to Holston Hills. A Johnson & Wales University-trained chef and longtime local favorite, Chef Andrew is well known throughout the East Tennessee restaurant community as a mentor, collaborator and friend to many. He built his corporate culinary expertise through senior leadership roles with Sysco Foodservices and Performance Food Group, serving as a Corporate Chef and Culinary Specialist. He has also led kitchens as Executive Chef at Rarity Bay Golf & Country Club and Tellico Village Yacht Club, as well as directed high-volume resort dining operations at the YMCA of the Rockies, where he helped oversee dining for up to 2,700 guests daily.

Chef Andrew is passionate about made-from-scratch cooking, locally sourced ingredients and sustainability. He enjoys showcasing the incredible farms and seasonal ingredients of East Tennessee, creating dishes that are both refined and approachable. Members and guests are already noticing some exciting changes in the kitchen including switching to fresh buns and bread service from FLOURHEAD, along with premium local beef from Mitchell Family Farm in Blaine, Tennessee. This sixth- and seventh-generation family farm in Grainger County raises pasture-raised, grain-finished beef with a focus on quality and sustainability.

The team also made the switch to Springer Mountain Farms chicken, a family-owned Georgia operation that raises American Humane Certified, antibiotic-free chickens on an all-vegetarian, pesticide-free diet with no animal by-products. The result is high-quality chicken that reflects Chef Andrew’s commitment to both great taste and responsible farming practices.

And, last but certainly not least, Sweet Endings, Locally Made desserts are now supplied by Vienna Bakery in Riceville, Tennessee, giving members and guests another delicious way to end their meal. Outside of the kitchen, Andrew enjoys mountain biking, riding his Triumph Bobber on scenic East Tennessee roads and working toward earning his pilot’s license. Known for his welcoming personality, he encourages members to stop by the kitchen, introduce themselves, and say hello. The Club is thrilled to welcome Chef Andrew to the Holston Hills family and look forward to the creativity, hospitality and exceptional dining experiences he will bring!
